Founded in 1980, the Optimist Youth Foundation (OYF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth in the Metro Detroit area through education, mentorship, and enrichment programs. We believe that “Youth is our most important investment”, and we work to ensure every child has access to the tools and opportunities needed to succeed.
From STEM-based drone competitions to academic tutoring, scholarships, and youth leadership events, OYF is committed to helping young people grow into confident, capable, and community-minded individuals.
